During my own convalescence I missed the loss of Les. I met him when I went to work for the Home Builders Association as the media specialist. I learned so much from him about the advertising side of media business. The world has lost a warrior negotiator who fought for the position of non profits not to be overcharged.
Love you Mary Lou and miss you. I will keep celebrating at BBD the eye opener.

I walked into Les’ office for an appointment for the 1st time; sat down to start and asked for a pen. He politely asked me to leave and never come on a business appointment unprepared. To this day I carry a Cross foundation pens. Lesson learned. I will miss the directness of his counsel and his laugh.
It would not be an exaggeration to say I loved this mentor and friend. He has been advising me most of my professional career. His humor and bravado and good works are irreplaceable. I will never forget his chuckle. I’m so heartbroken to lose him.
I’ve been proud to know Les since 1982, I was at KRMG and Les was schooling me in working with Media Buyers first hand! He was an icon in our industry and will be irreplaceable. Prayers lifting Marylou, his children and grandchildren and his many, many friends. Blessings to all who knew him.
