Lestine Upshaw's Obituary
Lestine “Little” Upshaw, 95, of Tulsa passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Lestine was born on January 16, 1927 in Hannah, Oklahoma. In 1955 she moved to Tulsa with the two great loves of her life, her sons, Larry and Donnie. She retired from St. John’s Medical Center after 35 years of service. After her retirement, she continued to work as a caregiver in home health for several years.
Lestine, beloved mother, mother-in-law, little grandma, and aunt survived by her son, Don Moody and wife, Nancy of Broken Arrow; daughter-in-law, Sharon Moody Colburn of Broken Arrow; grandchildren, Natalie Bishop and husband, Chris of Broken Arrow, Sean Moody and wife, Jimmie Lee of Pryor, Terry Moody and wife, Leann of Broken Arrow; great-grandchildren Jack Bishop, Dean Bishop, Addison Moody, Cole Moody, Kaylee Moody, Logan Moody and Tanner Moody; nieces, Kreela Corder-Harmon of McAlester, Sharon Washington of Muskogee; nephews, Rick Corder of McAlester, Gwen Engleman of McAlester; and other adored great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Larry Dean Moody; parents, Boy and Clara Mouser; and siblings Aliene Engleman, Dwight Mouser, Archie Mouser, Dallas Mouser, M.T. Mouser and Billie Mae Corder.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm, Monday, January 16, 2023, in the Floral Haven Chapel.
