Lit a candle in memory of Leta Lou Pitts
Aunt Leta always held a special place in my heart. I'll always remember when I was young and visiting over at Grandma and Granddad Rife's house how Aunt Leta and Uncle Roy were just neighbors behind their lot and we could always go see them. Fond memories of her cooking as well as going fishing with Uncle Roy and Granddad Rife. Karen and Jimmy, we are thinking and praying for you during this difficult time. The void left by your mom's death may seem big at times, but remember you have a loving God Who is bigger. We have that "reunion day" to look forward to someday. We pray the love of God enfolds you during your journey through grief. Hope you know you are loved and being prayed for in the days ahead.
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, 'There she goes!'Gone where? Gone from my sight … that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, 'There she goes!' there are other eyes watching her coming and their voices ready to take up the glad shouts 'Here she comes!'****************************************************************************************************** Jimmy & Karen, We are praying for God to give you comfort and peace. The poem above is a reminder that she is gone from us here, but its only temperary, and she was greeted in Heaven by God and loved ones that are so joyful for her return! Love, Kent & Keona Barrow
