Lillian Gaines Higgins' Obituary
Lillian Gaines Higgins, 96, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away October 18, 2021. Lillian was born September 9, 1925 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Shirrel Shultz and Willis "Billie" Shultz (Gaines). Lillian married the love of her life, Homer C. Higgins on April 7, 1946. Family was the most important thing to Lillian. When her children were younger she was actively involved in Boy Scouts and making sure her children attended church. Lillian owned "Bo Beep" Children's Nursery until her retirement in her later years when she spent her time devoted to caring for Homer. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Lillian was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Homer C. Higgins; parents, William Shirrel Shultz and Willis "Billie" Shultz (Gaines); son, Troy Lee Higgins; brother, Theodore Shultz; brother, George Mack Shultz and brother, Leonard Hugh Shultz.
Lillian is survived by her son, Dudley Higgins and wife, Glenda; son, Kenneth Higgins; son, Rev. Leonard Higgins; sister-in-law, Alice Shultz; sister-in-law, Clara Shultz; daughter-in-law, Sherry Higgins Stout; grandchildren, Joel, Elizabeth, Jessica, Brandi, Kenny and Samuel; great-grandchildren, Alexia, Kyler, Analyce, Kolby, Mason, Ethan, Braxton, Landon, Corbin, Adalyn, Lillian, Conner and numerous other family members and friends.
Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 11:00 am, Monday, October 25, 2021 at Ridge Crest Baptist Church in Tulsa.
