Linda Kay Ackerman's Obituary
Linda Kay Ackerman, 66, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Linda was born on December 3, 1958, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Floyd Ray Gibson and Joleen Hill. She attended Delaware High School and later pursued a successful career as a business owner and entrepreneur. Throughout her life, she resided in both Collinsville and Nowata, where she built a home filled with love and cherished memories.
Linda had a passion for gardening, enjoyed people-watching, and loved spending time at the lake. She will be remembered for her independent spirit, warm heart, and deep love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Ray Gibson and Joleen Hill, as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by her children, Dustin Ray Ackerman and wife Leslie, Levi James Ackerman and wife Deanna, David Mattingly and wife Robbin, Amy Fay, and Christina Mattingly; grandchildren, Collin Ray Ackerman, Miah (Mia) Ackerman, Zoey Ackerman, Heath Ackerman, Lily Mattingly, Ilia Stanfield, Audrey Menees, Cayden Norcom, Corbin Norcom, Kelsey Norcom, Ocionna Lazear, Daniel Metzger, Sebastian Mattingly, Michael Pippin, and Emma Pippin; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.
A memorial service to honor Linda’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Vera Full Gospel Fellowship Church, located at 120 W. Ramona Ave, Vera, OK 74082.
Linda’s love and legacy will live on through the family and friends she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
