Linda Kay Blankenship's Obituary
Linda was born April 1, 1947. She met Jesus face to face when she left this life on July 12, 2011. She was born in Bixby, OK to Floyd and Agnes (Butler) Hurt. She attended school at McClain school in Tulsa and later earned her associates degree. She married Charles Blankenship on December 21, 1962 at the age of 15. He was 20. They were married for 46 years. She worked as a purchasing agent in the oil industry for about 18 years. Charles and Linda were long time residents of Owasso where their children grew up and graduated. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Owasso. They moved to Talala about 14 years ago. Then Linda moved back to Owasso a year ago. Linda loved her children and grandchildren. She was a talented seamstress. She is survived by her three children: Sue Ellen and Roger Nystrom of Bixby, Chuck Blankenship of Owasso,Mike and Jolie Blankenship of Talala. Grandchildren, Brandon and Jessica Nystrom, David and Lana Nystrom,Rachael and Mikayla Blankenship,Scott and Emily Blankenship, Great Grandchildren, Emiko and Cliff Nystrom. Two Brothers, Loyd Hurt of Grove,Frank Hurt of Spavinaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles two years ago and a great grandson, Dexter Wayne.
