Linda Lucille Hulet's Obituary
Linda Lucille Hulet, age 81, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on December 7, 2025.
Born on September 29, 1944, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Linda was the fourth of five daughters of John Frank and Eula Louise Edwards. She grew up in a close-knit family of sisters and graduated from Oktaha High School, where her kindness, quiet strength, and steady faith began to shine.
On May 23, 1964, Linda married the love of her life, William (Bill) Hulet, Jr. From that day forward, Linda and Bill walked side by side through more than six decades of marriage. This past May, they celebrated 61 years together, thanking God for a beautiful and lasting love. Theirs was a Christ-centered marriage marked by devotion, partnership, and a shared commitment to family.
Linda’s three sons - Mark, Lance, and Dustin - were the apple of her eye. She poured herself into motherhood with creativity and care. She loved to sew and crochet, often staying up late to make one-of-a-kind outfits for her boys when they were young. Whether it was a ballgame in the bleachers or a school event, Linda was always there. Her cheers could often be heard above the crowd, and her boys knew without question that their mom was there for them.
As her sons grew, Linda’s love for children continued to shine through her work. She served as a preschool teacher and supervisor at Miss Helen’s Day School, where she was deeply admired and loved by students and parents.
Linda also had a gift with words and loved to write poetry. Her deeply spiritual verses were another way she wrapped her family in love. A longtime member of First Baptist Church Broken Arrow, Linda was faithful in attending bible study and worship. She was the official family Prayer Warrior - always willing to kneel, to listen, and to bring every joy and burden before the Lord.
In 1996, Linda became “Nana,” a role she cherished. Over the years she was blessed with seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who knew they were deeply loved.
Linda’s legacy is one of faith, gentleness, and everyday acts of love - meals shared, notes written, phone calls made, and time given with her full attention. She delighted in life’s simple pleasures and devoted herself to being the best wife, mother and Nana she could possibly be, and in doing so, she created a legacy of love that will carry on for generations.
Linda is preceded in death by her father and mother; her sisters, Laura Smart, Johnnie Claypool, and Mary Griffith; and her son, Dustin Bradley Hulet. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; sons Mark of Kansas City, Missouri, and Lance (Lori) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her sister Peggy (Fletcher) of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; grandchildren Bailey Hulet, Keagan Hulet, Kendra Freuchting, Austin Hulet, Landon Hulet, Killian Hulet, and Sterling Hulet; six great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
