Linda Faye Martin's Obituary
Linda Faye Martin (Powers), 83, passed away June 21, 2020. Linda was born to William "Deward"and Blainne Lucy Powers on February 1st 1937. She was the only girl, in a loving brood of four brothers. She was born in Independence, OK(A bump in the road😉). She graduated Valedictorian. Then, she married in 1954 to J.R. Martin. She had three daughters. She was one of the few women (in the 1970's) allowed on the police force. She, along with her husband instilled in her girls, the persistence and the strength for the "the long-haul". She was married to J.R. for 55 years. She passed away on Sunday, June 21st 2020. She was 83 years old and young at heart.
Linda will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in the Heritage Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Emily's Place for victim's of domestic violence.
