Linda Marie Semmler's Obituary
Linda Marie Semmler(née Borghese) beloved wife, mother and daughter.
Passed away on Monday, December 2nd, 2024, aged 73 years, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at her home in bed.
Linda was born on Monday, October 1st, 1951 to Italo Anthony Borghese and Catherine Borghese in Chicago, Illinois.
Married to Henry Semmler Sr in 1987 and had two children, Henry Semmler Jr (born November 12th, 1986) and Diana Semmler (born September 12th, 1987)
Went to Catholic Private School and Chicago Public School and graduated high school in June 1969.
Lived in the Chicago suburbs until 2004, then moved to Lawrence, Kansas and lived there for 3 years. Then in 2007 moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and lived here for the rest of her life.
She was employed with various telemarking companies and was a CNA before retirement in 2011.
She loved Wheel of Fortune, Court TV, Home Shopping Network and QVC, Channel 8 news, home workout videos, writing copious notes, knowing what time it is and remembering dates (sorry mom couldn’t get the time of your passing), classic rock and pop music.
She had a knack for remembering names and dates (which did not pass on to her son)
She loved Reasor’s and other grocery stores. She loves shopping in general.
Loved Chicago sports and starting following Kansas City sports teams when we were in Kansas.
Lifelong democrat, she wanted to see everyone treated fairly and equally.
She was a lifelong Roman Catholic and she gave monthly to St Jude’s Children’s hospital.
She had a big heart for people and animals. She had a tender place in her heart for lost and stray cats and pets on the rainbow bridge.
Predeceased by her parents Italo and Catherine, her husband Henry Semmler Sr, her daughter Diana Lucinda Semmler, her brothers-in-law Fredrick Semmler and William Semmler, her aunts and uncles, her dogs Roma, Ashley, Sheba, and Katie, and her cats Sierra, Sabrina, and Savannah.
Survived by her beloved son Henry Fredrick Joseph Semmler Jr, brother-in-law James Semmler, her cousins, and her cats Sapphire, Sequoia, Shania and Shamrock.
I would like to thank the Broken Arrow Fire Department for helping her when she fell on the floor and to get her in and out of bed when she could no longer stand up on her own. I also would like to thank Broken Arrow EMS for trying to revive mom and to the Broken Arrow Police Department.
I would like to thank for Pet Loss group for giving her companionship after her cats passed away. Also her longtime friend Christine for keeping in contact with her throughout all these years.
A few words to sum up mom’s life: loud, boisterous, full of life, and a tender heart.
