Linda Sue Shaw's Obituary
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Linda Sue Shaw died on October 24th 2024. She was 72 years old. Linda was born on August 2, 1952 in Tulsa Oklahoma to Robert and Elaine Rupe.
Linda was preceded in joining the Lord by: Her Mother and Father, Mildred Elaine and Robert Rupe and her Grandmother Eathel Conly. She is survived by her sisters: Debbie Nevel married to Jack Nevel and children Brooke Grier and Michael Nevel. Bobbie Claybrook married to Claude Claybrook and children Kaci Roberts and Justin Claybrook.
Linda was the heart of our home and family. She married her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Randy on December 19th 1970 and were married 53 years. Together they raised two children, Christy and Robert. She was a grandmother to Sara Hayman married to Ethan Hayman, Megan Ibinola married to Shadrack Ibinola, Isaac House, Caitlyn House, Erika Mathis, Austin Shaw and Mckayla Shaw. She was a great grandmother to Leighton Hayman, Lainie Hayman and Grayson Ibinola. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Linda enjoyed photography and capturing all the memories of birthday parties, sporting events, dance recitals, family holidays and vacations. She also enjoyed scrapbooking all of these pictures for all of the family to enjoy for years to come. Linda also enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. The beach was her absolute favorite place to be.
Known for her beautiful smile and her love for her family, she will be dearly missed by all who know her. Linda’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. She would want each and every one of us to enjoy each day to the fullest and make lots of memories with the people that we love and not to forget to take as many pictures as possible to remember all of the great memories created.
Visitation will be held on Monday November 4th from 4-7. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 5th at 10:00 am at Floral Haven Cemetery.
