Linda Sides' Obituary
Linda Jean Sides, 78 of Bixby, Oklahoma passed away on March 5th 2020 surrounded in love by her family. She was born February 17th, 1942 in Yuba City, California to Raymond Smith and Mildred Smith Seiglar.
More than anything in her life Linda loved being a mother and grandmother. Linda also loved all things gardening, cooking, and attending bible study. Linda was someone who thrived off of community. She very much valued being involved in the lives of her friends and neighbors.
Linda was a committed military wife for over 26 years. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Bixby, Oklahoma. Previously, she was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. Linda was preceded in death by her father Raymond, her mother Mildred, her loving step-father Lon W. Seiglar, brother Del Smith, and sister Connie Johnson. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Harold Sides. She is also survived by her three daughters Lori and Glen Morgan of Plano, Texas ,Trish and Steve Burross of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Stephanie and Tom Goekeler of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Linda had four grandchildren Chase Morgan, Madison Morgan, Carlie Goekeler, and Cole Goekeler.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 9th 2020 at 12:30pm at Riverview Baptist Church in Bixby, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia Society of America and Riverview Baptist Church.
