Linda Jo Willis' Obituary
Linda Jo Willis, 62, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on March 3, 2025. She was born on June 20, 1962, in Pittsburgh, Kansas, to William and Margaret Schneider and was raised in Walnut and Girard, KS. Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, known for her warmth, her kind spirit, and her love for her family.
She attended some classes at Pittsburgh State University before earning her nursing degree from Parsons Community College. Her passion for helping others led her to a fulfilling career in nursing, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of many.
Linda married the love of her life, James, on January 28, 1995, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together they built a life full of love, adventure, and comfort in each other. Her children, Emily and Matthew, their spouses, Bryan and MaKayla, and grandson, Nolan, were her greatest blessings in her life. Throughout her life, Linda enjoyed many hobbies that brought her joy and comfort, including sewing, quilting, and cooking. Her delicious home cooked meals were loved by everyone who ate them, her homemade pizza being a fan favorite. Her love for the color purple was well-known to her family and friends, and seen in her wardrobe every day. Her quilts were loved and cherished by everyone who received them. As a chemotherapy nurse for over 20 years, her patients not only enjoyed her warm-heartedness, but also the warmth brought by the hundred of cornbags she had sewn over the years to keep them all comfortable while receiving chemo.
Linda was an adventurer at heart, always eager to travel and explore new places. She visited several places but, the yearly trip to Silver Dollar City with her family created lasting memories for her children. Her trip to Ireland with her siblings was the trip she spoke of often and with great fondness. Despite her quiet nature, she had a close circle of friends who appreciated her kind spirit and warmth.
