Linda Wolverton's Obituary
Linda Jean Wolverton passed from this life on November 18, 2018 at age 68. She was born to Elbert L. Dean Yeckley and Genevia Colleen Wilson Henson on February 21, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Linda graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, OK and then attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. She went on to work in a career of service ranging from work with the physically limited to alcohol and drug counseling. As a caring member of her community, she coached co-ed youth soccer in disadvantaged neighborhoods and produced and directed theater productions for handicap youth. Linda was known by her family and friends to shine with a youthful optimism and wit. She had a way of captivating all who met her. She was a compassionate free spirit who will be dearly missed.Linda is survived by one daughter, Ashley Wolverton of Brooklyn, New York; one son, Eric Cavely of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one sister, Phyllis Yeckley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one half-sister, Joan Marie Nesbitt of Rolla, Missouri; two grandchildren, Caleb Cavely and Hanna Jane Cavely; and her ex-husband, Charles Wolverton of Biloxi, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Genevia Yeckley and one brother, Mark Elbert Yeckley.There are no scheduled services planned.
