Linda Kay Young's Obituary
With hearts full of both sorrow and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Linda Kay Young, a beautiful beacon of love, kindness, and generosity whose gentle spirit touched all who know and love her.
Linda's life is a tapestry woven with threads of love, compassion, and simple joys. She had such grace about her. Writing poems and reading were her passions, and she cherished the moments spent immersed in stories and songs. She found peace and delight in the pages of the Bible, the melodies of music, and the simple pleasure of spending quality time with her family and pets throughout her life. Every dog she took in became her protector. Her most recent days were brightened by the companionship of her beloved fur baby, Cinderella, whose presence brought immense joy to her life.
A devoted wife of 37 years to Gary Young, her best friend, soulmate, and love of her life, Linda cherished every moment shared with him. Together, they made so many happy memories and built a family rooted in love and faith with patience and understanding. They are a perfect example of how a marriage should be. The kind of true love that is admired by many.
She was always so kind, loving, and a caring mother to her daughters Kristina Presson and husband Chris, Tracy Duckworth and husband Aaron, and son Michael Young and wife Cassie. As she spoke, it was "Her Pleasure" to be a mother. She has the sweetest soul. Her sweet, nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren—Canaan Garcia, Kayla Garcia, Caden Garcia, Jacob Humphrey, Emma Duckworth, Joseph Young and James Young—each of whom held a very special place in her heart and always will. She found such contentment and happiness in being their mema.
Linda's kindness and love was also a pillar for her sister Vicki Henson and husband Phil, sister Janet Howard and husband Mike. Her family was her world, and she embraced every opportunity to create cherished memories with them, whether it was the reminiscence of childhood stories growing up, having a blast during summers by the pool, all day shopping sprees, laughing together, or the quiet joy of simply being in the presence of loved ones. She loves all of her family unconditionally.
Her gentle nature and kind heart left an indelible mark on her community. She will be missed tremendously, always loved and never forgotten. Linda's legacy is one of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a loving spirit that will continue to inspire all who know her.
Linda loves Jesus and was so ready to be with her parents Glenn and Dorothy Bryant and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. She fought a hard battle and now she made it to our Heavenly father where she's happy and healthy again eating a big bowl of the best dutch chocolate ice cream, her favorite. She is waiting for all of us there, praising Jesus, and singing Hallelujah to the King.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16
