Lindel Adair's Obituary
Lindel Virl Adair, 84, was born to Floyd and Josie Adair on May 27, 1934 in Baron, Oklahoma. He passed away on December 6, 2018.Lindel was a distinguished man of many talents and accolades. After he graduated from Westville High School, he attended Haskel Business College in Lawrence, Kansas. In 1955, he joined the United States Army, and was ultimately stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. After Lindel was honorably discharged on January of 1957, he decided to further education at NSU in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He ultimately transferred to the U.S. Air Force Reserve in 1962, and by 1976 was promoted to Major. He retired from the Airforce Reserve in 1988. He had a long career in Personnel Management and received numerous awards for his efforts.Outside of work, Lindel enjoyed spending time with family and friends- especially if it involved hunting or fishing. He loved to walk the fields with Fred, his brittany spaniel. Lindel was an incredible marksman, and as a result, was often excluded from entering the local turkey hunt, because it was a guarantee that he would ALWAYS get the bird.Over the past 15 years, Lindel and Vivian have attended Asbury Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He started each morning immersed in the readings of God’s Word. His faith was evident through his acts of kindness, good deeds, and generosity to others.Lindel is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vivian Adair; son Bryan; daughter Kim; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother Gordon and wife Jeannie Thompson; and a number of loving friends.He will forever remain in the hearts of those that loved him.Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 9 from 10 am – 2 pm.Services will be Monday, December 10, 2018 at 12:30 under the care of Floral Haven Funeral Home
