Lloyd Wayne Wilson's Obituary
Lloyd Wayne Wilson, 79 died February 20, 2011 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Mr. Wilson was born February 18, 1932 in Garber, Oklahoma. He was the son of Sherman and Loie ( Roberts). Mr. Wilson served in the United States Marines as a Sergeant and served in the Korean War. Mr. Wilson taught in Tulsa Public Schools. After retirement, owned a Jewely store and pawn shop. He loved to help others, and on one occasion he went to McDonalds and bought food for a homeless man that was walking in front of his jewelry store. He loved square dancing, and especially the T-Town-Teens. One memory of Mr. Wilson was the T-Town-Teens did not have place to dance, so he and Mr. Ligon built a place next to Aloha Electric. They called it Wil-ho hall after Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Ligon. He also loved to play poker on Sunday nites with the boys. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson would play a came of farkel, have snack cake and then retire. Survived by his daughter and husband Sherri and Scott Mullen, son Wayne and wife Brenda, grandsons Randy and Paul Wilson and a granddaugher Kacy Mullen.
