Lois O'Harra Barkley's Obituary
Lois O’harra, 96, was born July 4, 1920 in Howe, Oklahoma, and passed away on May 23, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lois was a star on her basketball team while attending high school in Howe, Oklahoma. After graduation, Lois married Lynn Carter. Lois and Lynn moved to California and she worked in the shipyard during the war. The two lived most of their lives in California, raising a family and working in the service industry as a waitress, and later, as an owner to many restaurants. Lois moved back to Oklahoma upon retirement. She is preceded in death by her sons Roy Lee Carter and Lynn William Carter; and grandson Roy Carter Williamson. She is survived by son Carl and wife Betty Carter; sister Ella Jean Robinson; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and seventeen great great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held in Lois’ honor on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 12 pm at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be held that morning from 9 am – 11:40 am at the Floral Haven Funeral Home.
