Lois Jean Cates' Obituary
Lois Jean Cates, 82, a resident of Jenks, Oklahoma, passed away on March 5, 2023. Jean was born on August 14, 1940, in Evanston, Illinois to Tommie and Mozelle Kirk. Jean leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will sincerely be missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
Jean was preceded in passing by her father, Tommie Cleo Kirk; her mother, Martha Mozelle (Hardcastle) Kirk; her sisters, June Winsett, Sue Caudle, Ann Hobbs, Kay Oates, and Jodi Donahue, and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Cates.
She is survived by her husband, James Cates; son, David Cates; son, Richard Cates and his wife, Nancy; "Little Brother", Chance Johnson; her grandchildren, Nikki Miller and her husband, Cliff, Steve Dressler and his wife, Kelly, Scott Cates, Ryan Cates and his wife Tanya, Clayton Cates and his wife, Jenalee, Katelyn Chambers and her husband, John; her great-grandchildren, Tyler Dressler, Hunter Dressler, Whyatt Cates, Macy Miller, Jett Mitchell, Colton Cates, Ainsley Chambers, Atley Chambers, Kaylee Sullins, Kinsley Sullins, and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
