In Loving Memory of Lois Imogene Cleveland
Lois Imogene Cleveland, a cherished and beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 90. She was born on January 25, 1933, in Atoka, Oklahoma, to the proud parents Otis and Gracie Brumley. Her life was a testament to love, compassion, and unwavering faith.
Lois dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was a beacon of love, always ready to offer a warm embrace and a listening ear to those in need. Her nurturing spirit extended to her role as a Nurses Aid for 33 years, where she touched countless lives in hospitals throughout Tulsa, Oklahoma, and in private nursing. Her dedication to caring for others left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family was Lois's cornerstone, and she treasured every moment spent with her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her devoted sister Lavern Kirby and her husband Gene. Lois was a loving mother to three sons and their wives: Ronnie and Cathy Cleveland of Beggs, OK, Tony and Peggy Cleveland of Sapulpa, OK, and Mike and Annette Cleveland of Sapulpa, OK. Her adoring spirit lives on through her eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Lois's life was one of shared joy, and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her. She found delight in simple pleasures, from planting vibrant flowers that mirrored her own spirit, to crafting mouthwatering meals that brought her family together. Music, literature, and the written word were also her companions, and she enjoyed losing herself in the pages of a good book or the soothing strains of a melody. Her love extended to all creatures, great and small, and she found solace in the teachings of the word of God.
In her passing, Lois joins her beloved parents, Otis, and Gracie Brumley, as well as her sister Meveline Carroll and her two brothers, Leon Brumley and Ray Brumley. Their reunion is a testament to the eternal bond of family that Lois held dear throughout her life.
