Lois Elaine Wallis' Obituary
Lois Elaine Williams Wallis November 2, 1922 – February 9, 2014 Lois was born Lois Elaine Williams to Rush and Clara Williams on November 2, 1922 in Texas City, Texas. The family later moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma. On May, 1946, she married Charles Wesley Wallis and they had two children Gregory Allen and Carol Anne. For many years she worked at McDonald Douglas and retired from there. After retirement, Lois enjoyed ceramics, traveling, and the fellowship of her dear friends in addition to her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and son and also by her brothers Charles, Rush, William, Gene, and her infant sister Eunice. Lois is survived by her sister Ellen of Phoenix, Arizona and her children Carol, Doug, and Julie. (Lois did not like the terms “in law.”) She is also survived by her grandchildren Misti and Tim, Ryan and Lynne, Erin and Brett, and Kevin and by her great grandchildren Dillon, Jalen, Zach, Kate, and Jack. (Lois did not like the term “step” either. All family members were her immediate family.) Family and friends remember the conversation, the laughter, and the love that flowed around her at her kitchen table. Those who knew Lois will truly miss the best friend, sweetest mother and grandmother, and the dearest sister ever.
