Lois Jean Huber's Obituary
Former New Castle resident, Lois Jean (Vanater) Huber, 80, of Tulsa OK died the evening of Nov. 4, 2014 in Tulsa from an extended illness. Born April 15, 1934 in New Castle, PA, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Sterling and Genevieve M. (Murphy) Vanater. A homemaker, Lois, had four children, several grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and a grandson, Richard Stewart, she helped raise. Lois attended Union High School, New Castle, PA. Survivors include three sons, William Rush and Eugene Stewart of Tulsa, OK, Thomas Vanater of Modesto, CA. A grandson, Richard Stewart, and his friend, Sheri Fay, of Tulsa, OK. Two sisters, Norma Taggart of Simi Valley CA and Lucy Frasier of Katy, TX ; Six brothers, Thomas of Kingman, AZ, Robert of North Las Vegas, NV, Phillip of Desert Hot Springs, CA, Warren (Corny) of Albany, GA, Wayne of Eugene, OR, and Donald of Victorville, CA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Karen Stewart Lyttle, Imperial CA, Two sisters, Donna (Sis) Morris, New Castle, PA, and Dorris Lucas, Sarasota, FL. Two brothers, Herbert S. Vanater Jr. Susanville, CA and Arnold John Vanater, Bothell, WA. There are no calling hours. Messages of sympathy and condolences can be left in the comment section below.
