Lonnie R. Chancellor's Obituary
Chancellor, Lonnie Ray, 71, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma born May 14, 1943 passed away May 16, 2014 with his wife by his side. Lonnie grew up in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma and married the love of his life, Pat, on June 1, 1964. He served in the US Army as Captain in Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas. He went to Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a master’s in Education. Lonnie taught physical science and math before becoming an Administrator for Broken Arrow and Catoosa school districts for over 30 years. He loved being around the kids and helped guide them toward making their lives be the best it could be.Lonnie hobbies were camping, hunting and fishing with his children and grandsons. He loved traveling and enjoyed woodworking and making furniture and items for his children’s homes. His favorite project was building his grandson’s beds from scratch. But most of all Lonnie loved his family and his great achievements were his children.He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Chancellor, son Stephen Gregory Chancellor, daughter Stephanie Annette Floyd; daughter-in-law Kelly Chancellor and son-in law Robert Floyd; 3 grandchildren, Jordan Nathaniel Chancellor, Jarrett Thomas Chancellor and Zackary Floyd; mother Edith Chancellor; sister Linda Qualls; brother Homer Lee Chancellor; and host of other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father Homer Chancellor.
