Loren Dale Palmer's Obituary
Loren Dale Palmer-Retired Fire Captain, 64, of Broken Arrow, passed away May 29, 2021 surrounded by his wife and children. Loren was born May 17, 1957 in Wood River, IL to W. Norris and Mary Palmer. He served with the Broken Arrow Fire Department for over 30 years, worked in construction for many years, and served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer First Class. Loren was an angel, a hero, a mentor, a coach, an advocate, a friend, a parent, grandparent, and so much more to his children, his wife, his friends, his family, his colleagues, and his community for longer that we can count. He enjoyed many adventures in life; sailing, hunting, scuba diving, gun collecting, traveling, riding his Harley on the open road, finding the perfect craft brew, and above all else spending time with his family and friends.
Loren was preceded in death by both his parents. Loren is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda; his daughter Jessica Dawn Tennison and son-in-law Chris Tennison and his granddog Maeve, of Broken Arrow; his son Kyle Loren Palmer and daughter-in-law Rachelle Palmer, currently stationed in Eagle River, AK and his 2 grandchildren, Amelia Quinn and Thomas Loren Palmer. He is also survived by his three sisters Peggy Ayers, Tia Russell, and Robin Diel.
A memorial service with honors to celebrate Loren’s life will be held at 11:00am CST, Saturday June 05, 2021 at Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Broken Arrow. For those that wish to pay their respects and are unable to attend on Saturday, there will be a photo/memory book at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow on Thursday 6/3/21 and Friday 6/4/21 10:00am-6:00pm.
