Lori Suzanne (Gillpatrick) Scarsdale, age 53, departed this earth peacefully at home in Cleveland, OK on August 15th, 2025. She left a life of love and legacy and our world has an incredible void without her.
She was born on March 2nd, 1972, in Tulsa Oklahoma, to Peggy Lynn (Banfield) Gillpatrick and Cary Lind Gillpatrick. She was preceded in death by her father Cary Gillpatrick of Pampa, Texas, and her grandparents, John Banfield, Sr. of Tulsa, and Helen Jean Banfield of Tulsa, and JM and Katherine
Gillpatrick, of Pampa, Texas.
She is survived by her son, Jesse "JJ" Scarsdale, of Broken Arrow, OK, mother Peggy Gillpatrick of Portland OR, sister Pamela Fodor and husband Martin of Catoosa,OK and family, Aaron, Lauren (Randy), and Hunter of Tulsa,OK, brother Matthew Gillpatrick of Tulsa,OK and son Drue, of Stillwater, OK, and sister Christiana Tolley and husband Jeremy of Corona, CA, and their daughter Annika, and longtime companion, Terry Ackley, who has since joined her in peace at the time of publication, as well as a host of other friends and loved ones.
Lori graduated from Pampa High School in 1990 and married (Robbie) Robert Leith on August 31st, 1991, in Gray County and began her lifelong hospitality career, including working for American Eagle as a Ticket Agent, Hampton Hotels in Front Desk Leadership, and various other hospitality positions throughout her journey.
She spent the last several years working with her companion Terry, doing hospitality support for the University of Oklahoma and other companies in the area. She was a dedicated worker and had a knack for making others feel welcome and appreciated.
On February 24, 2004, she married Jesse Scarsdale in Miami, OK. They had Jesse "JJ" in September 2005. During their marriage she enjoyed supporting the home, going to church, family activities such as cookouts, going on drives and to the lake, holiday dinners, and she enjoyed sewing and quilting. Going out to eat Mexican food was a favorite, and drinking a cup of coffee in the morning together was an important start each day.
To those who knew and loved her, many agree she was known for her sweet smile and wonderful laugh, with a quick wit, and her longtime love of music, sometimes with singing involved, and that her family was very important to her; she strived to maintain connections throughout her journey.
She was loved by many who feel she left too soon, but we have comfort knowing that she is peacefully at rest.
"...come, all who are weary, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28.
