Lorna Denise Chambers' Obituary
Lorna Denise Chambers, 59, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27th, 2024, at her daughter's home in Tulsa. Born on May 26th, 1965, to James Rufus Maloy and Lillian Lucille Long Collins, Lorna was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
In 1996, Lorna married the love of her life, Sylvester Chambers, Jr., and together they built a beautiful family. A dedicated homemaker, Lorna's kitchen was always filled with the aroma of her famous fried chicken and homestyle potatoes, and her pineapple upside-down cake was simply unbeatable. She had a zest for life, always the life of the party, and her infectious laughter and playful spirit made her the biggest goofball in any room.
Lorna's heart was deeply rooted in her family. She was a sweet yet spicy woman who cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren. Her love and dedication to her family were unparalleled, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and joy.
Lorna is survived by her devoted husband, Sylvester Chambers, Jr.; her children, Angel Long, Royasha Long and her husband Aaron Rogers, Precious Long, Champagne Long, Keith Holt, Devonta Holt, and Lamable Long; her siblings, Bridgette Long and David Collins; 21 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Robert Long, and her sister Donna Smiddick.
The family will honor Lorna's vibrant life in a private celebration at a later date. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
