Lou Ann Costello, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Aunt passed away quietly at Hillcrest Hospital to be with Jesus on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 following a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.Viewing: To be held 4-8 PM on Thursday 23rd of August, at Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012 and a Celebration of Life service will be held grave side at 10:00 AM Friday 24th of August at Floral Haven with Pastor Henderson officiating. Memorial gifts: In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to Alzheimer support and research ( https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/ )Lou Ann was born on September 5, 1928, in Greene County, Mo., to Herby and Clarine Gamble and started out life in a humble setting graduating high school from a 12 person schoolhouse. Lou Ann started her early work career as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She later dedicated herself to raising her family where she always put the needs of her family ahead of her own. After raising her family, she returned to work until retiring from St Francis Hospital in 1989. Lou Ann was a devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother and was a long-time member of Asbury Methodist Church.Lou Ann was preceded in death by her parents; as well as by brothers, Robert Gamble and David Gamble; and sisters, Helen Martin and Carla Little.Lou Ann is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas J. Costello of Tulsa, Oklahoma; children, Kelly Pilkenton and husband, Brent, of Bixby and Mark Costello and his wife, Ruthanna of Ottawa, Kansas; grandchildren, Sean Pilkenton and his wife Whitney, Jennifer Costello and her husband Ben Chandler, Lindsay Findley and her husband Nate, Caira Law, Brandon Law, and Braden Costello. Lou Ann was the next to the oldest of seven children and she is survived by sisters, Kathy Nelson, of Colombia, Mo. and Lynda Martin and husband, LeRoy, of West Plains, Mo.; sister-in-laws, Jan Gamble of Springfield, Mo. and brother-in-law, Bob Little of Grand Prairie, one great grandchild (Cooper), and 22 nieces and nephews of which 4 have proceeded her in death.Lou Ann, we will miss you and your unwavering support, your love of family, your selflessness in serving others, and your devotion to God.
