Louis Blosch's Obituary
Louis Odus Blosch was born to Harold Louis and Ruth Blosch on December 6, 1936, in Bristow, Oklahoma. He passed on November 1, 2024, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, attended Tulsa University, and married his high school sweetheart, Gale Webb of Tulsa. Louis’ life was best characterized by three commitments. He was devoted to his family, dedicated to God and the church he attended for sixty years, and was passionate about his work. He related to people with integrity and generosity in every aspect of his life.
As parents, Louis and Gale attended football games, recitals, musicals, and award ceremonies. In 1966, Louis bought their first boat, and the Blosch girls grew up enjoying the lake. They claim their dad taught over a hundred of their friends to water ski. Now his grandchildren and great grandchildren have many fond memories of days at the “Lake House.”
Louis’ dedication to God was expressed through his personal commitments to read scripture daily and to serve. He was Sunday School director, chairman of the deacons, and sang in the choir and men’s ensemble. For forty-four years, he managed the kitchen at Faith Week with an incredible staff of his peers.
At age twenty-two, Louis began selling insurance. With 51⁄2 years experience, he opened the Louis Blosch Agency. Louis’ passion for his work was evident as his business grew. His genuine concern for people guided his work ethic, and his agency was recognized throughout the state. In 2017, Louis was honored on a national level with the Legacy Award, presented by Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company.
Louis is survived by daughters, Susan Chrisman and husband Jerry of Piedmont, OK, Kathi Lewis of Broken Arrow, and Jeannette Amon of Siloam Springs, AR; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; his sister, Jean Hendon of Tulsa; his brother, David Blosch of Tulsa; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was greatly loved
