When I heard of the passing of Mr. Loyal G. Borman I was so happy for him to see his Redeemer face-to-face and so saddened for those he left behind, especially Ilene, their children and grandchildren. Loyal will be deeply missed by so many since he truly was a man of God. There is so much to say about Loyal. Yes, he was definitely blessed with the gift of giving. Also, he was obedient with his gift. What can be said about a man who is led by the Spirit to give and then gives so freely and cheerfully? Just from his giving alone so many lives have been changed. From his graciousness many have come into a greater fullness of life and a greater revelation of compassion and of our God. Additionally, Loyal appreciated excellence. Godâ??s kingdom is excellent and when Loyal lived his life in such an excellent way and then encouraged it in others around him, he was consistently advancing Godâ??s kingdom here on this earth. It means something to know a man and want to be better just from being with him. It also means much to have favor from such a man, whether you feel itâ??s deserved or not. For in both situations he is demonstrating compassion, grace and sometimes mercy. Doesnâ??t this sound like our God, full of compassion, grace and mercy? Today I was reading in Acts about a man named Cornelius. Cornelius was a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. In Acts 10:2 it reads, â??He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.â? I thought this sounds like Loyal and his family. In Acts 10:4b it then reads, â??Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.â? Well, I just want Ilene and the family to know that Loyalâ??s prayers and gifts have come up as a memorial offering before God. And God sees you now with all that you are experiencing and going through. My prayer is this: as the upcoming days come and go, may you come to a greater revelation of your Immanuel (â??El is with usâ?). May He be your rock, your strength, your peace and your hiding place and may you come know a new length, width, height, and depth of His love for you. We love you so much!!!
