Loyd Ray Linde's Obituary
Loyd Ray Linde passed away Monday, July 11th, 2011. Born February 17th, 1926 in Tulsa. Son of Joseph Hodges Linde and Hazel Elizabeth McIntosh. Preceded in death by wife Zera Mae Linde and brothers Joseph, Robert, and Donald. Survived by daughter Sharon Linde Wann (Tulsa) and sons Loyd Ragon Linde (Oregon) and David Joe Linde (California), 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Loyd graduated from Will Rogers High School and served in the United States Navy (1944-1946) and is a World War II Veteran. He had a lengthy career in Sales including service with Mason's Furniture and Appliances, McDaniel's, Hannah's of Brookside, Zenith, and Videon. He served for nearly 10 years as an Assistant Scout Master for Tulsa's Boy Scout Troop 26 where he earned the prestigious Silver Beaver Award. Loyd retired in 2003 and during his retirement he continued to be actively involved with Music including membership with the Tulsa Community Band, Blaskapelle (Tulsa based German band) and various choirs at Tulsa's First United Methodist Church. Loyd also was a polling judge for the Tulsa County Election Board and served as President for Liberty Tower's Home Owners Association. He was a blessing to all that knew him and he positively impacted many lives. Services will be held Friday, July 15th at 12:30 p.m. in the Floral Haven Chapel at 61st and 129th.
