Luella Ida Emmons' Obituary
Emmons, Luella I., was born April 13, 1927 in Okeene, OK to Ed Lorenz and Ida Geis. She passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the age of 84. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Wade, a son, Orlin and his wife, Sandy, of Wagoner, and a daughter, Jeanne and her husband, Dale, of Tulsa; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other relatives. She also had many brothers and sisters in Christ as her friends. During her active life, Luella was a housewife, maker of custom drapery, and for many years helped to prepare lunches at Mingo Valley Christian School, and was always a mighty prayer warrior. She was always a caring and fun loving mother/grandmother/great-grandmother, as her family was always important to her. Long time member of Parkside Mennonite Brethren Church, and Sheridan Christian Center, in Tulsa and also attended First Christian Church in Wagoner. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012, 12:30 pm in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm and on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the Christian charity of their choice.
