LuEtta Fern Minton's Obituary
LuEtta Miiller Minton left this world to be with her Lord in Heaven on August 21, 2025.
She was born on her parent's farm near Drummond, Okla. On April 21, 1931. LuEtta graduated from Drummond High School and Enid Business College. She worked at the bank in Drummond for five years until she married her husband, Dwight in 1956 and moved to Enid. They met on a blind date arranged by her cousin and enjoyed 58 wonderful years together.
In 1960, they moved to Tulsa, where she continued her banking career until the two children were born. When they were in Junior High School, she began working as a clerical secretary at Nathan Hale High School. After twenty years, she retired and was ready to spend her time being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Also, to spend time each day in her beautiful backyard, which she called her sanctuary. LuEtta was always active in her church as a Children's Sunday School teacher, pianist, and choir member. She was a member of the Broken Arrow Chapter of
Eastern Star and appointed Grand Chapter Mom for the Carousel Grand Family in 2009. Dwight and Lu had a great year traveling over the state, visiting Chapters, and making many new friends.
LuEtta was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mamie Miller; her husband, Dwight; a brother, Harold, and three grandchildren. She was survived by her son Craig and wife Becky of Wagoner, OK, and a daughter Janet and husband Mike of Broken Arrow, OK; four granddaughters Rebekah, Sarah, Emily, and Brooklynn; Two grandsons J.W. and John, and seven great-grandchildren; and a niece, JoAnn Webber, and nephew Gene Miller.
She was so proud of her grandchildren, and it was the joy of her life to attend their school and church activities. She loved planning and preparing large dinners for all the family for each one's birthdays and all the holidays.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on August 28th 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on August 29, 2025, at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Remembrance.
