Lula Riggs' Obituary
Lula “Edith” RiggsEdith was born on July 18, 1921 in LeFlore County Oklahoma and passed from this life November 13, 2018 after reaching the age of 97 years old. She was the 7th of 13 children born to parents William David Moore, a share cropper and Sarah Francis (Jackson) Moore.Edith married the love of her life Hosea E Riggs April 1st, 1939. For 65 years they enjoyed life to the fullest where it be traveling in their RV, camping, water skiing or staying at the lake in their cabin, gardening her Yorkies (Tuffy & Buffy) and various other little doggies she gathered up.Hosea preceded her in death Sept of 2004. Also preceding in death their her son, Thurman Riggs. A loss she never really got over. And grandson Bryan Moon Sr.Edith Loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent alot of time with them as they grew up. Edith was always up to having a good time with them whatever it was. She taught them how to have fun, be silly, cook, can veggies, make lime pickles, lye soap and cactus jelly.Edith was survived in death by her daughter, Saundra L Riggs Moon of Hulbert and son, Stanley W Riggs & wife Sandie of Claremore, 5 grandchildren, Angie nichols of Hulbert, Robin Sisco & husband Wade of Hulbert and Emily Gilstrap Ramsey of Claremore. She had 6 great -grandchildren, Mandi Nichols of Hulbert, JW Sisco & wife Witni of Coweta, Bryan (B.J.) Moon Jr. of Wagoner, SarahDon Sisco Workman of Hulbert, Tayten Miller and Hadley Ramsey of Claremore. Edith also had 6 great-great grandchildren, Kileigh Smith, Teagen Workman, Trinity Workman, Button, Brazen and Tinleigh Sisco. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many friends and loved ones.Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18 from 3 pm – 8 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home.A graveside service will be held at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens on Monday, November 19 at 10 am.
