Lyda Rosetta Sanders' Obituary
Lyda Rosetta Sanders, a resident of Tulsa, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the age of 77. She was born November 13, 1938 to Fred B. and Agnes Ruth Jane (Key) Drake in Lexington, Missouri. She was a member of the Broken Arrow United Pentecostal Church. Lyda was a very good seamstress and a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Oklahoma City Thunder but most of all she loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sanders; parents, Fred and Agnes Drake; two brothers, Steve and Simpson Drake. Survivors include her two sons, Anthony Sanders and wife, Sherryl and Steve Sanders and wife, Brenda; sister, Sarah; four grandchildren, Nick Sanders, Stephanie Sanders, Tracy Hefner and Kelcy Barber; five great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow. Burial will follow the service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Family will greet friends Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Little Light House for Savannah Hefner, great granddaughter, 5120 East 36th Street, Tulsa, OK 74135.
