It seems like I've known Wayne all of my life, but certainly most of my life. He was such a good man, and an obvious good husband to his lovely Barbara, and great Dad to all of those pretty Holland girls, and I don't know how many grandchildren he helped spoil.
I think of Wayne as a very patient man....and I should know, I was in his choir for a very long time, and enjoyed every minute of it. Being a part of the choir, back in the good old days when I was much younger, was a highlight of my life really. We worked hard at learning new music, which often we thought we could never get it right, but with Wayne's tenacity, it eventually turned out pretty good. In my later years when I saw Wayne I apologized for my talking so much during choir practice. This would of course be when I sat next to my fun friend, Janette Francy....I'm sure she did most of the talking...(?)
Can you just imagine now, how Wayne is singing along with the heavenly choirs and angels; he might even be directing them.
Barbara, Denise, Connie and Kerry, this has been several very sad days no doubt. May the knowledge that Wayne has no more pain, struggles or worries help lift the heartache from you. Just as we loved to sing: "When We All Get Together".... indeed, what a great day that will be. He is in heaven, where we know there are no tears or sorrows. Over the years when this season of life has touched my family or friends, I think: if we hadn't shared such a deep, special love, losing them wouldn't hurt so much. Everyone that knew Wayne, was certain to have good memories of him.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you as you move through and out of this valley of life. I love you all dearly.
