Madison "Doc" Henry Mulkey's Obituary
Madison H “Doc” Mulkey IV was born in Nashville, Arkansas on February 21, 1920 to Mary Beatrice and Madison Henry Mulkey. His father passed away when he was 7 and he and his mother and younger brother moved to Texarkana, TX. He later attended the University of Texas. He joined the United States Navy in 1938 and served for 22 years. Doc married Frances Carol Allen in 1942 and was off to World War II. He retired from the Navy in 1960 and worked for RCA and Sperry Univac. He retired in 1980 and moved to Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. From there he and his wife traveled extensively in their RV, then moved to Grand Lake, Oklahoma in 2002. Doc moved to Tulsa in 2004 to be closer to his son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren. His wife, Frances died in 2006. He met Mary McMahon in 2006 and married her in December of the same year. He is survived by his wife, Mary, his son, Robert N. Mulkey and his wife Robin A., a daughter Barbara K. Mulkey and her husband Patrick D. Coufal and two grandchildren, Robert M. Mulkey and Alexis S. Mulkey. He was 95 when he passed away. Services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 3:00 pm.
