It is with profound sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Makayla Renee Smith, who departed this life on June 26, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Born in Tulsa on November 1, 1999, to Emmitt Richard Weaver and Andrea Leigh Smith, Makayla brought light and warmth to those around her from the very beginning. Her presence was marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for her family, especially her beloved son, Hendrix. Whether she was watching over her nieces and nephews, spending time with her siblings, or simply enjoying family moments, Makayla embodied joy, devotion, and compassion.
Makayla is lovingly survived by her mother, Andrea Smith; her cherished son, Hendrix Smith; siblings Brittany Smith, Tre'von Weaver, Tyler Smith, Jada Shouse, Ethan Weaver, Jasmine Weaver, Kayla Carr, and Justice; and her aunt, Aubrie Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emmitt Weaver, whose memory she carried with her always.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday, June 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Floral Haven Family Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Family and friends will come together to honor Makayla’s legacy, share memories, and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
Makayla will be missed beyond words and remembered forever by all who had the privilege to know her.
