My mom would get a perm in Mamie's basement, and I would get to play with Christy while I waited for my mom to be finished. As I grew up Christy and I would hang out over at her house and Bill would tease me and Mamie would sometimes reprimand him and tell him to come have a cookie in the kitchen. She then offered us warm cookies and we would sit at the kitchen table and talk and laugh. Laughter has always been part of her life and she imparted it to Christy who has one of the best sense of humor that I have ever known.
May you have a rich time remembering Mamie on the 24th! You all have done such a great job in giving a deserving and loving tribute to a wonderful woman of God.
