Presley Manuel Aaron's Obituary
Presley was born to Oscar and Zula Aaron on April 25, 1935 in Marvell, AR. He was the 3rd of nine children. He attended school through the 7th grade and then began picking cotton to help out his family. He met Virginia as a teenager and was married on April 30th, 1954. They had one son named Jerry Lee. Through the years they moved around to Arizona, California, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Presley would go where the work was, which was mostly farming. Later they settled in Tulsa, OK where he became a member of Oakridge Baptist Church. He later became a deacon in August of 1971. He was a self-employed carpenter building portable buildings for about fifteen years and then bought a Daylight Donuts shop where he worked with his wife and family for twenty years until he retired. He moved to the Baptist Village in Cleveland, OK to be closer to his family. He loved playing the bowling game on the WII and playing dominoes with his newly made friends. He was a kind, soft hearted, man that would do anything he could for anyone. He is survived by his son Jerry Aaron and daughter-in-law Dena Aaron of Cleveland, OK, granddaughter Emily Maennche and spouse Matthew Maennche of Cleveland, OK, granddaughter Kimberly Tenney of Bristow, OK, and his seven great-grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Christopher, Alexander, Nicolas, Logan, and Gabrielle. His surviving siblings are Virgil Aaron of Heber Springs, AR, Steve Aaron of Jacksonville, FL, Kathy Eazel of Heber Springs, AR, Annette Turley of Heber Springs, AR, and Shirley Jackson of Searcy, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Zula Aaron, his wife, Virginia Aaron, sisters, Dorothy Dougherty and Christine Sylvester, and brother Clifford Aaron.
