Manuel Sigala's Obituary
Manuel “Güero” Sigala was born November 19, 1943 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Daniel and Consolación Sigala. He passed away at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on May 31, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Manuel is survived by his wife, Olga A. Sigala, and his three children: Liliana Sigala of Chihuahua, Mexico; Karla Acosta and her husband Leo and granddaughter Sofia of Omaha, Nebraska; Daniel Sigala and his wife Nikki and grandchildren Emma, Mariella, and Koen of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his sister Bertha Sigala of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. Manuel was an active member of his church, Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Tulsa, where he served as Treasurer. Manuel took pride in his work at ISTI Plant Services of Tulsa, where he found fulfillment in helping the business grow and in the comradery of his coworkers. Before moving to the United States, Manuel worked for Bancomer, a large banking chain in Mexico in both his home city of Chihuahua and later in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua where he served as Comptroller. His family remembers him as a generous man, whose wisdom was treasured. He had an uncanny ability to laugh and find joy in even the smallest of things. He always moved at full-speed and only stopped long enough for his power naps. He encouraged a strong work ethic and enjoyed time spent with family. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Chapel, 6500 South 129th East Ave., Broken Arrow, OK 70412. Should friends desire, memorial gifts can be made to Catholic Charities online at: https://cctulsa.org/donate/honormemory-gifts/ or by mail to Catholic Charities, Mission Advancement Office, P O Box 580460, Tulsa, OK 74158-00460
