Marcella (Marcie) Mae Beahm Wasson May 25, 1919 – April 1, 2014Marcie Wasson passed from this life to be with her heavenly father on April 1, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Queen Creek, Arizona with her daughters, Linda Horner and Debbie Marino at her bedside. Her parents, Homer and Minnie Beahm; sister, Glenna Sheffield; brother, Delmar Beahm; husband, Don Wasson, and a son-in-law, George Horner, preceded her in death. She was born in Sawyer, Kansas and was the daughter of a wheat farmer. After high school she moved to Wichita and then to Tulsa. She was working in Tulsa, Oklahoma during World War II. She met and then married Don Wasson on August 14, 1948.Marcie was a wonderful mother and later resumed her career as a bookkeeper in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since living in Arizona with her daughter, Linda and her family, she has enjoyed graduations, attended the weddings of three of her granddaughters, and overjoyed when great-grandchildren Matthew, Trinity, Georgia, Mickey, Jolynne and Laney were born.She is survived by her daughters, Linda Wasson Horner and Debbie Wasson Marino; four grandchildren, Kara Horner Comer, Kristy Horner Burggraff, Alicia Van Winkle Ash Clark and Amory Van Winkle, six great-grandchildren, Matthew Burggraff, Trinity Ash, Georgia, Mickey, and Jolynne Comer, Kale and Laney Van Winkle. In addition, she is survived by many extended family members that includes sister-in laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Marcie was a joy to all who knew her, whether they called her mother, grandma, great-grandma, Aunt Marcie, or friend. We will miss her terribly.
