Margaret “Peg” Hanson JohnsonPeg Hanson Johnson was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin on August 19, 1927. She was raised on a farm that was homesteaded by her great grandfather’s family in the 1870s and attended on one-room public school during the depression. Peg graduated from Gustavus Adophus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota, where she met her first husband, Wally Hanson. Peg and Wally married in 1949. One year Peg was a teacher in Kiester, Minnesota, teaching six subjects. In 1950, 1954 and 1958, Sandra, David and Todd were born in different towns as relocations were constant. Peg became a perental Newcomers leader in each new town and was very involved with the church and community as a volunteer, den mother, sewing club, 4-H and more. Finally, Peg and the family settled in Tulsa for seven years where the family put down some roots. Wally passed away in 1982 in Dallas and Peg moved back Tulsa a few years later. After moving to Montereau Peg and Frank Johnson met and were married in 2007, spending ten wonderful years together. Peg is survived by her three children, their spouses, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by Frank, his son, Gary, spouse and three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
