Margaret Lee Anderson's Obituary
Margaret Lee Anderson, 95, left this world to be with her Lord in Heaven on January 20, 2017. Born in 1921 in a farmhouse in Villard, MN, she settled in Tulsa in 1960, and began turning the job of home making into art. She was a faithful and constant wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an excellent cook. Her fresh strawberry and lemon merengue pies and cookies were in demand to the end. She loved playing bridge. She loved to read, and could recite classic Wordsworth and Frost, Emerson and Field, from memory. She loved nature and always maintained a flower garden. She was a woman of great faith, a believer in hard work, a kind and decent soul, and a ready reminder that though the world’s ways might change, manners, respect, and devotion to God are always in fashion. She placed a high value on family and love and faith, and never forgot her Lord Jesus. She will be missed and remembered by three generations of descendants. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert F. Anderson, her five children: Gary (Janet) of Osakis, MN, David (Connie), and Tamara Coleman of Tulsa, Rex of Mobile, AL, and Eric (Sonya) of Dallas; by her eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The service will be at 11:00 in “The Chapel” at Asbury Methodist on Wednesday, January 25.
