Margie J Meek's Obituary
Margie Jane Meek passed away from this life on January 18, 2025 at the age of 94 and made Heaven her final home. Margie was born on May 14, 1930 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married "the love of her life", Carroll Meek", they were married 62 years. They were faithful members of Cincinnati Avenue/Sandusky Avenue Christian Church in Tulsa for over 62 years.
She loved being a member of the choir "Glory Bound Singers" and also her quartet "Sweet Assurance". She was the lead cook for the Wednesday night suppers and always baked for days feeding the whole teachers lounge group during the weeks of V.B.S. She served many years as a member of the Naomi Woman's Circle (for charity), pre-school Sunday school teacher and Friendly Neighbors (helping church families).
Margie and Carroll were owners of the Meek Insurance Agency and equal owners of Broken Arrow Pawn with son Artie Meek and daughter-in-law, Vickie Meek. Margie was very active in American Business Woman's Association, holding various offices, including President. Margie was accomplished in many things including cooking, music, writing and art.
Margie loved her children, Grand children, Great Grand Children, and great great (soon to be born)..... she was very proud of them all. Margie is survived by one sister, Elma James, and her children, Jeannie Cornwell and her husband, Kent, Artie Meek and his wife Vickie and Becki Valenzuela, 8 Grand Children, 17 Great Grand Children, 1 Great Great Grand Child, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
