Maria Rangel Blanco's Obituary
On November 8, 2021 at 10:05 am, Maria Blanco went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 79 years of age.
Maria was born on October 9, 1942 in Houston, TX as the middle child of 3 sisters. She loved to dance and attend parties at an early age, but her dream was to be a mother and wife. Her dream eventually came true and she wholly dedicated herself to raising her 3 children -- Victor, Sonia, and Adrian. While she cherished family time and enjoyed traveling the world with her family as a military wife, her life was changed in 1978 when she accepted Christ as her savior. Through her Godly example, each of her children also came to accept Christ and currently use their gifts in ministry around the world.
Maria was a graduate of Rhema Bible College, received top marks for medical interpretation at TCC, and served on the prayer team at Rhema. She was always willing to pray with strangers and friends alike, leading people to Christ in church, on the streets, and even in grocery stores. During her free time, she enjoyed watching movies, playing cards, crocheting baby blankets, and bargain shopping.
She was a bold woman who did not let fear or illness stop her from living life to the fullest. Her legacy as a woman of faith will always be treasured and cherished by those who knew her. She is survived by 2 sons, Victor and Adrian, a daughter, Sonia, 5 grandchildren, Justin, Debbie, Faith, Caleb and Victor Jr, 1 sister, Angie, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19 from 3 pm - 6 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will take place at 10 am on Saturday, November 20 at the Floral Haven Chapel.
