Mariamma V. Kurian's Obituary
Mariamma Valiamannil Kurian, also known as Kunjumol James(45 years), went to be with The Lord on Friday, 7th February 2014. She was born to late V. V. Kurian and Mrs. Saramma Kurian as the third generation Pentecostal pioneers of Kerala. She was raised up by this hard working family and nurtured in the faith of Lord Jesus at Sharon Fellowship Church, Mundiappally, Thiruvalla. She completed her High School and university degrees at Thiruvalla and moved to Mumbai to pursue her Nursing education. On January 6, 1994, she got married to James Idiculla Edakkallor. She led an exemplary married life for last 20 years. She was a great mother to her kids Joel, Jeslin and Jayme and was a faithful wife to her husband. She started her profession as a registered Nurse in a Hospital in Mumbai and in 1992 she was employed in Ministry of Health, Kuwait. She came to US along with the family in December 6th, 2007 and worked as an RN until the day of her surgery and by God’s grace kept her job until the last day of her life.Mariamma was an active member of Bethel India Christian Assembly, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She served as the Sunday school teacher and Head Mistress and also the prayer coordinator & women’s coordinator in different years. She was a humble woman of prayer, faith, and love and highly respected the servants of God. In 2002, she had a major surgery in Mumbai Hospital and miraculously God healed her, ever since then she has been a source of encouragement to many who have gone through same difficulties. In April 8, 2013 she underwent another craniotomy and the complications developed thereafter made her to be on the bed for the last 10 months. Church, families and every one far and near prayed for her but God’s plan was higher. She was so dear to us and we dearly miss her, but God found her much dear to Him, and He called her home on Friday, the 7th February, 2014 at 9:30 AM. She is survived by her husband, James Idiculla Edakkallor Children: Joel, Jeslin and Jayme Mother: Mrs Saramma Kurian Siblings: Sosamma Jacob, Valsa , Molly, Roy Varghese and Reji Valiamannil
