Marian Henderson's Obituary
Marian Frances Henderson passed away peacefully at the Baptist Village on February 16, 2024, at the age of 95. Marian was an avid walker well into her 90’s, loved raising and showing horses and working in her yard with her plants and flowers.
She was born May 8, 1928 to the late Elsie Dorthea Agee and Foster Fon Agee. Marian was predeceased by her husband Edgar Brince Henderson Jr., her sister Dorthy LaFon Crow, brother Robert Rohwer Agee and son Stanley Dee Henderson along with Shari Henderson, Carl Henderson’s wife and Barbara Mendel Henderson, David Henderson’s wife.
She graduated from Central High School and lived in the Tulsa and Broken Arrow area her entire life. She was an active member of Arrow Heights Baptist Church and played handbells for the congregation for many years.
She is survived by her two sons Carl Henderson and David Henderson, daughter Rebecca Sonderegger and husband Mike Sonderegger along with 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Marian loved living in the country with her daughter Rebecca and her family while tending to the horses and hosting family holiday events. A celebration of life will be scheduled with the immediate family and friends at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously accepted at the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
