Marietta Seibert's Obituary
MARIETTA SEIBERTOn Thursday, October 25, 2018, Marietta (Scherich) Seibert, 82, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother made her entry into heaven.Marietta was born August 4, 1936 in Kokomo, IN to Harold and Sadie Scherich. Her childhood and young adult life was spent in Kokomo, IN. She married Ron Seibert on September 9, 1961 and together they raised two daughters, Shari and Denise.Ron and Marietta moved to Tulsa, OK in 1969. After the move to Tulsa, Marietta obtained her Real Estate licensing and enjoyed selling houses for many years. However, once grandchildren started arriving, she decided to retire and spend time with all the girls. Each one of them were the light of her life and she always made time to cheer them on at their activities and events and do special things with each of them.Marietta wholeheartedly loved her friends and family. She made lifelong friends everywhere she went. She was fun, kind, loving, compassionate and always on the go. She loved entertaining and was always planning a party, celebration or seasonal meal. She was very active in the community and was a Docent (Gillies) at Gilcrease Museum and an Usher at Asbury United Methodist Church. She was also active in Beta Sigma Phi, T-Town Questers Antique Club, the Greater Tulsa Depression Era Glass Club and many other clubs and organizations too numerous to mention.She is survived by her daughters, Shari Arnold (Bruce) of Broken Arrow, and Denise Retheford of Wyandotte, OK; 4 granddaughters, Kaitlin, Samantha and Kiersten Arnold of Broken Arrow and Savanna Retheford of Broken Arrow; 1 grand daughter, Josie Amalia Joy of Broken Arrow and her brother, Lloyd Scherich of Tipton, IN. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron, brother, Duane and parents, Harold and Sadie Scherich.Marietta lived life to the fullest and was well-loved. She will be missed by all her family and friends.Friends may call Thursday, November 1 from 2 – 8pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow. Services will be held on Friday, November 2 at 11am at Asbury United Methodist Church with Tom Harrison officiating.In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Marietta Seibert.
