Marilyn Sue Moore's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Sue Moore, a sweet and reserved soul, who passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on July 2, 1944, in Tulsa to Dr. Harry and Esther Green. Marilyn was an accomplished piano player, a talent she inherited from her mother, a professional pianist. Her musical abilities brought joy to many and were a testament to her dedication and passion.
She had one sibling, a sister named Betty. In April of 1971, Marilyn married Walter Moore. Together, they shared a love for travel, visiting destinations such as Las Vegas, Aruba, other Caribbean islands, and Europe. Their adventures together were numerous and filled with cherished memories. After 37 years of marriage, Walter passed away in 2008.
Marilyn had a passion for shopping and had several unique collections that she treasured. In 2010, she met Bill Cook. They locked eyes and the rest was history. They fell in love and were married in December of 2011. Their time together was filled with happiness and adventure until Marilyn's passing. Marilyn's gentle nature and kind spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will forever cherish her memory.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Harry Green, and Esther Green; her sister, Betty Morris; and her first husband, Walter Moore. She is survived by her devoted husband, William “Bill” Cook, her sister-in-law, Linda Newman, and her brother-in-law, Eddie Cook.
A public visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, at Floral Haven Funeral Home: 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
A funeral service to honor the life of Marilyn will be held at 10:00 AM on her 80th birthday, Tuesday July 2, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, located at 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012, with Sean Newman officiating.
Anyone wishing to send flowers for the service may do so by ordering through our website or by calling Floral Designs by Floral Haven at (918) 459-1525. Any independent florists may deliver flowers directly to Floral Haven Funeral Home by 3:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024, in order for them to be set out and properly displayed for Marilyn's visitation.
A reception will be held once the chapel service concludes from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Floral Haven’s Family Center. Marilyn's family would like to warmly extend an invitation to anyone wishing to attend the reception in order to continue in fellowship and in the sharing of memories. The Floral Haven Family Center is also located at Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6420 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
