Marilyn Jeanine Powell Postoak's Obituary
Jeanine Powell was born on August 21, 1953 in Altus, Arkansas to Willis “Dub” Robert Powell and Lorena “Faye” Elliott (Powell) Keefer. Raised on the family farm in Ozark, Arkansas prior to moving to Kansas.
Jeanine’s early education began in Ozark, Arkansas, then attending Olathe High School and Johnson County Community College in Kansas.
Jeanine had a fulfilling career working as a land surveyor in Phoenix, AZ, New Mexico, and Kansas. She worked at Cargill in Ozark, Arkansas.
Jeanine moved to Okemah, Oklahoma and met Dale Postoak, where they raised Black Angus cattle on their 270 acre ranch. Later adding a lake home at Sycamore Bay on Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma sharing their enjoyment of fishing and boating. They found peace in nature.
Jeanine and Dale loved music they hosted Karaoke at establishments in the surrounding Okemah area. They attended the Steel Guitar Convention yearly in Texas and other states; they also attended the Woody Guthrie (Arlo’s Father) Folk Festival in Okemah every year.
Jeanine had a joyful spirit, a radiant smile and a beautiful, happy laugh. She would always put others before herself.
Jeanine was preceded in death by: Life Partner: Dale Postoak, Daughter: Tonia Correll,
Parents: Faye & Donald Keefer, W.R. & Betty Powell.
Survivors include: Daughter: Brandi & Junior Foster of Floral, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 3 sisters and a host of friends.
Jeanine will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Cemetary, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on June 20, 2026 at 12:30pm.
