Marilyn L Wright's Obituary
Marilyn L. Wright, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Loving Wife, Momma, Gran, and Great-Gran was reunited with her “Honey” and other family members on Monday, August 5, 2024. Marilyn was born the 6th of 7 children on November 02, 1935 to August and Freida Sophia Jauert in Luverne, Minnesota. Marilyn spent the early mornings of her childhood milking cows on the family farm. In 1957, Marilyn met and fell head over heels in love with Jim Wright. After 2 years of courting, the couple tied the knot on August 2, 1959 in Luverne and shortly thereafter relocated to Tulsa, OK. Marilyn spent her days as an administrative assistant before taking on the hardest job to any women…. Momma. The couple was blessed with two sons Jim and Roger. During this season, Marilyn found her true passion of documenting her family’s life with many photos and picture albums. She continued this passion while the boys were growing up and obviously once she became a grandmother. Always having a camera close she took many photos of her favorite subjects, her granddaughters Kaci, Kylie, and Carissa. Marilyn lived her life to the fullest spending time with her family and indulging in her guilty pleasure … chocolate of any kind and birdwatching, cardinals being her favorite. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and sang in the choir at Grace Lutheran.
Marilyn is proceeded in death by her husband, parents and all 6 siblings. She is survived by Jim & Trish Wright, Roger & Toni Wright, Kaci Wright, Kylie & Dalten Nguyen, Carissa Wright and bonus grandkids Josh Payne, Kiersten & Kody Winslow, Jake Payne, Noelle Payne, Tabor Haws and 2 great grandkids Kayne & Kastle.
